Ford Makes Repairs Easier with Remote Viewing Technology
You can trust Shults Ford South in Pittsburgh when your vehicle needs crucial work or repairs. Ford is building even more confidence by providing cutting-edge remote viewing technology that allows technicians to work in real-time with the team at the Ford Technical Assistance Center.
With these new two-day, hands-free headsets, technicians in the Shults Ford service center have a direct line to experts at TAC in Dearborn. The headset is appropriately called See What I See, allowing the technical assistance team to see and hear what’s going on while our team works on vehicles.
The SWIS headset then allows team members at TAC to send modified images back to our service techs so they have instant insight into what a vehicle needs. This technology streamlines the process for repairs that have in the past required a field agent from Ford to visit dealerships in person.
“The remote technology is designed to assist the technicians as they’re working on vehicles — with the goal of increasing efficiency and decreasing downtime for customers,” said Ford General Service Equipment Program Specialist David Green. “This technology modernizes and simplifies our operations, benefiting everyone involved.”
Remote viewing technology is just one of the ways Ford makes customers’ lives easier, and it’s an innovation that we’re excited to onboard at Shults Ford South. If you need maintenance or repairs for your current vehicle, contact our service center and schedule your next visit.
