3 Great Thanksgiving Events Around Pittsburgh

Thanksgiving is a great time of year. Not only do you get to eat a ton of great food, but you spend a good deal of quality time with your loved ones. This year, if you want to take your holiday fun beyond the living room, these Thanksgiving events around Pittsburgh should fit the bill.

29th Annual YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh Turkey Trot

Get Thanksgiving off to a great start by signing up for the 29th Annual Pittsburgh Turkey Trot. There are a variety of races to choose from including a 5K, a 1-mile family fun run, a 5-mile run, and the Double Gobble (5K followed by 5-mile). No matter what you pick, you’re sure to burn off plenty of calories before you dig into the stuffing.

Thanksgiving Tradition with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra

The weekend after Thanksgiving, head to Heinz Hall for the Thanksgiving Tradition concert with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. This year’s music will include favorites of the Strauss Family like waltzes and polkas. Tickets start at $20, making this event an affordable choice for a lovely time with your family.

Friendsgiving Trivia at Zone 28

If you love the show Friends, gather your friends and head to Zone 28 on Tuesday, November 26th. They will be hosting a Friends trivia night called “The One with Friends Thanksgiving Episodes.” Gather your team and register in advance, then catch up on all the Thanksgiving episodes to make sure you’re ready. Make sure you carve out (get it?) enough time ahead to do some binging so that your team comes out on top. From the family at Shults Ford South to you and yours, have a most happy and healthy (and filling) Thanksgiving!
