One of the most notable upgrades for 2022 is an increase in range for the California Route 1 trim. The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E California Route 1 can now go an EPA-estimated 314 miles on a full charge with rear-wheel drive and the extended-range battery. That’s a big jump from the 2021 model’s 305 miles of range.
But wait! There’s more! The California Route 1 is now also offered with electric all-wheel drive and offers standard heated seats and steering wheel. That means this trim is even more optimal for driving in Pittsburgh despite its West Coast namesake.
Another notable improvement: Standard-range batteries now offer 70 kilowatt-hours of usable energy and extended-range batteries increase output to 91 kWh.
Other upgrades include a new black-painted roof standard for the Mustang Mach-E GT and GT Performance Edition. Both remain complete beasts with the latter going from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
There’s also more color to go around this year. One of the updates for the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E is the lineup-wide availability of Grabber Blue Metallic and Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat, letting you style and profile even more with zero emissions.
